The basements of the Chekist Town’s Underground Tour (may be combined with Yekaterinburg City Tour)

The Chekist Town is a complex of residential buildings constructed in 1929- 1936 years. The houses in the style of constructivism are located in Lenin St., Lunacharsky St., Kuzhechnaya St. and Pervomayskaya St. It is believed that the Cheka interrogators tortured and executed “the enemies of the people” in the basements of these houses. Today you may go inside the bar Sleeping Dog and get down to some of these preserved basements. Within an hour, small groups of 5-6 persons (accompanied by professional diggers) can explore the underground town of the Stalin-era repressions. Hazmat suits, helmets, and flashlights are provided.
