Analytic Philosophy:

Past, Present, and Future

On November 21, 2020, the Ural Federal University hosted the online panel discussion Analytic Philosophy: Past, Present, and Future. This event was a part of the International Conference Philosophy Today: Values, Perspectives, and Meanings (November 19-21, 2020) organized to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Department of Philosophy, Ural Institute of Humanities, Ural Federal University.

The panel discussion was focused on topics concerning analytic philosophy:

  • definition of analytic philosophy,
  • history and development of analytic philosophy,
  • analytic philosophy as a philosophical method,
  • status of analytic philosophy in contemporary philosophy,
  • future perspectives of analytic philosophy.

The panel discussion was divided into two parts. Part I consisted of the talks by the invited speakers (20 minutes talk and 10 minutes QA per speaker). Part II was organized as a general discussion between the invited speakers and the registered participants.
